1). HOWL MOVIE PREMIERS IN SF 1/28/10
We've been hearing a lot about it for quite a while now. Executive Produced by Gus van Sant, Written & Directed by Rob Epstein and Jeffrey Friedman, the guys who did "The Times of Harvey Milk", animation by Eric Drooker who worked with Allen on "Illuminated Poems". And then there's the cast: James Franco as Ginsberg, Mary Louise Parker, Jeff Daniels, Treat Williams and Mad Men's Jon Hamm (Don Draper) as ACLU Lawyer Jake Erlich who was Ferlinghetti's primary Defense Attorney.

2). NEW MOVIE: WILLIAM S. BURROUGHS - A MAN WITHIN - Park City, UT - 01/22/10
There's a young fellow who has just made a low budget independent film about WSB that will be premiering at Park City, Utah the same week as the Howl Movie will be showing. I haven't seen this WSB movie, and I don't know the filmmaker, but I like the fact that he just went out and made this movie, apparently not knowing exactly how he was going to finance it or how he was going to make it all happen, but he just knew he needed to find a way to do it. I consider this young fellow a kindred spirit. He's a person who gets things done. In my opinion there are two kinds of people in the world - those who talk a good game and who have to wait until everything is absolutely perfect before they even try to make something happen and then there are those who simply go out and follow their dreams. This young guy needs $3,000 in the next three weeks to see this project through to completion. Maybe you can help him out.

Maybe you can toss this guy a few $$$ if you can to help him keep his dream alive:
